Viking Ship on Canada-wide tour - Now in Toronto
A Viking ship will be displayed at Toronto Harbourfront Center, at the bottom of Simcoe Street, on the “Natrel Pond”, Saturday July 25, (with a short launch ceremony at 12.00 Noon), then exhibit from 1.00 PM to 7 PM and on Sunday July 26. 1.00 PM to 6.00 PM.
The Danish Canadian Museum Society in Canada, have through a donation, had a Viking ship replica built by the Danish National Museum’s boat works in Roskilde Denmark.
Danish Summer Camp
This has been and exciting, busy week at the Danish Church for 20 boys and girls and 12 helpers. The children's days based on the Hans Chr. Andersen fairy tales included Danish and English games, Danish classes, a choice of activities including preparing healthy snacks and planning a play for their families for Friday. A jumping castle was setup on Tuesday for all to enjoy.

MG Car Club of Toronto
For you British sports car buffs, the MG Car Club of Toronto will be holding it's annual car show on
Tuesday July 14, 6pm - 8pm
on the church parking lot. Show Cars and BBQ is for Car Club members only, but curious (and respectful of course) visitors are always welcome.

Video highlights from the Concert
The Danish Lutheran Church Choir had their first concert under the direction of our new Choir Directon, Kiera Galway. The concert took place on the 12th of June 2009 with the participation of The Toronto Chamber Voices (also under the Direction of Kiera).
The Toronto Chamber Voices also gives a concert on
Friday, June 19th 7:30pm at the Heliconian Hall
35 Hazelton Avenue (Bay Subway Station).
The show will feature a mix of folksongs, popular arrangements and some more 'serious' repertoire. All proceeds from the concert will go to support the Street Haven Organization. Please see attached PDF-Poster.
